Airberlin to award double points for all flights booked by September 30
Airberlin recently announced that double points would be awarded to the companies for all flights booked by up till September 30, 2012 within the European and German business points route network.
The corporate program introduced by Germany’s largest carrier Airberlin in 2010 for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is proving to be a boon and helping the airline to reap dividends. The airline stated that presently more than 10,000 companies are participating in business points program.
The airline in a statement said that the business points program is beneficial for the SMEs as they are able to book cheap flights for their staff effectively reducing the travel costs. According to the airline, the employees of SMEs when booking cheap tickets under this corporate program are able to collect points for their respective companies while traveling on Airberlin as well as on numerous codeshare flights with Etihad Airways.
The airline stated that for booking an award flight on a domestic route in Germany 300 points would be required. The travelers can also use their points to book award flights in business class as well. Flights with Airberlin can be booked to various U.S. cities, including New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. While, with Etihad Airways flights can be booked for Middle East, South Africa, Australia and Asia.
