American Airlines to deliver baggage directly at doorsteps for extra charges

Passengers booking air tickets on American Airlines needn’t worry any more about their baggage delivery. The airline is willing to deliver the baggage directly at the doorsteps of the passengers or wherever required for extra charges.

American Airlines recently announced that passengers taking flights will now get their bags delivered directly to their home, office or other destinations effective second week of August this year.

The service will be available to the passengers after paying extra charges between $29.95 and $49.95 depending on the luggage when purchasing their tickets or up to two hours before their flights.

The airline disclosed that the baggage delivery service would also be available at above 200 airports in the United States as well as some cities abroad.

Providing further details, American Airlines said that if the baggage delivery destination is 40 miles away or less, then the delivery would take place within one to four hours. However, if the destination is beyond 40 miles or above then the delivery cost would be a dollar more for every extra mile, and the delivery time would range from four to six hours.
