ANA lands its First Boeing 787, adds more Business Class Flights

ANA, after staying patient through a 3 years delay in delivery, finally landed its First Boeing 787 in Japan today, September 27th, 2011. The landing drove a lot of good news for business travelers looking to fly long haul in the latest from Boeing.
Landing at 9:03 a.m., ANA plans carrier’s first commercial flight next month before it is inducted into regular service by November.
With this acquisition, ANA is looking to pare down fuel costs and add more destinations to its portfolio such as Frankfurt, which is currently only served by larger jets. 787 is a medium size jet. ANA would receive 12 of the 787s in coming 6 months and boost its international flights portfolio as well. An increase to crucial European cities would also let business class flights regular to exercise more control on timings and seats.
Boeing 787 delivered to ANA is configured with 12 business class seats, 252 economy class seats.
