Asiana Airlines augments fleet, adds six more A380 aircrafts

Asiana Airlines signed a purchasing contract with Airbus for A380 last week. Known by the name of Premium hotel in the sky, the six A380 aircrafts will be delivered to Asiana Airlines between the years of 2014 until 2017 by Airbus. Two aircrafts will be delivered each year.

While filing its production orders with Airbus, Asiana Airlines will seek state-of-the-art cabin specifications and innovative cabin layouts. The first aircraft, which Asiana Airlines will receive in the year 2014, will be operated on the routes to U.S. or Europe.

The new order is in addition to the existing contract, which Asiana Airlines signed in 2008 for A350 newly developed mid/ long ranged next generation extra-wide-bodied aircrafts with Airbus. The introduction of new fleets is to have environment friendly, next-generation aircraft to secure its place for the global conscious airline.
