British Airways offering double Avios on first class flights

British Airways along with its two joint venture partners has decided to offer double Avios for its passengers booking first class tickets or traveling in business class cabins on selected routes.

The airline in a statement said that it will be offering double Avios jointly with its transatlantic joint venture partners American Airlines and Iberia. The offer is available for travel on select routes before December 31, 2012.

According to British Airways, the passengers flying on fare codes F,A, J, C or D in its First and Club World cabins would be able to avail the bonus points. The airline further stated that the passengers traveling on fare codes F, A, P, J, D or R in American Airlines’ First and Business Class cabins would be getting the bonus points. This is also applicable for passengers flying on fare codes J,C or D in Iberia’s Business Plus cabins.

The bookings are eligible on selected routes from London to U.S., Europe, Latin America, India, Middle East, South Africa and Asia.
