China Airlines direct Kaohsiung-Beijing flights begins

China Airlines recently launched its direct flights to Beijing from Kaohsiung aimed at easing travel woes of customers in Southern Taiwan and serve  better. The direct flights will depart Kaohsiung every Friday night and return every Saturday morning.

The inaugural flights to Beijing departed from Kaohsiung on September 9, 2011. To mark the occasion, the passengers were presented an aircraft model as souvenir. They were also offered pineapple cake from Hsin Tung Yang. China Airlines has deployed Boeing B737-800 configured with 150 Economy Class and 8 Business Class seats on the Kaohsiung-Beijing route.

The airline is offering introductory airfares starting from US$414.33*on Economy Class up till March 31, 2012.

China Airlines has also launched “Kaohsiung-Beijing Autumn 3-day Tour” under its Dynasty Package offer. The tour package on offer is for 2 persons, and starts from US$581.36* per person. The package includes flight tickets, airport pickup service, 2-night accommodation with a double bed, as well as a portion of roasted duck in Beijing’s King Roast Duck. The tour package is effective up till January 20, 2012.
