Etihad Airways recently announced that it has deployed chefs in first class kitchens to some European destinations, and will provide a new menu from its Mezoon Grille onboard first class flights.
The airline said that this facility is being offered to passengers taking first class flights to Sydney, Melbourne, London and Paris.
The menu to be served onboard these flights includes rib-eye steak, hammour and beef tenderloin. The choice of desserts include warm cheese souffle, lemongrass panna cotta, triple chocolate cake, pandan sago with passionfruit coulis or warm Middle Eastern semolina pudding with saffron lemon syrup.
The airline has replaced the degustation menu with a Taste of Arabia theme, which includes a mixed grill with aromatic rice, harissa and yoghurt sauce.
Etihad Airways has indicated that it plans to deploy chefs on its first class flights to Dusseldorf, New York, Casablanca, Frankfurt, Milan, Seoul, Geneva, Munich, Narita and Brussels this year.
