Etihad Airways to offer free Wi-Fi connectivity in First Class

UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently launched its in-flight mobile and internet connectivity service for the benefit of its customers. The new service is called ‘Etihad Wi-Fly’, and is powered by the Panasonic Avionics Global Communications Suite.

The airline in a statement said that the service was launched on flights to Brussels on Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The passengers were offered high-speed broadband internet connectivity onboard their flights. The passengers also took advantage of data and mobile services as well.

Apart from Brussels, the airline plans to operate Airbus A330-200 aircrafts offering Wi-Fly connectivity on long haul routes, including Milan, Frankfurt, Munich, Manchester and Dublin.

Etihad Airways would be offering complimentary ‘Etihad Wi-Fly’ connectivity service to its customers booking first class tickets and traveling in its Diamond First Class. The airline further announced that the passengers traveling in other classes would be able to avail this service for $13.95 for one hour or $24.95 for 24 hours.
