Jet Airways new flight-train connection from Brussels to Paris

Jet Airways recently announced that it will provide a high-speed train link to its customers between its European hub Brussels and French capital Paris on a single ticket. The airline has worked out this offer to stay ahead of its major competitors Air France and Air India.

Currently the flight link between India and France is being provided by Air France and Air India. Air France operates flights to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai from Paris, while Air India operates flights to Paris from Delhi.

Jet Airways said that customers on any of its 6 daily flights from New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Toronto and New York can book a single ticket for their flight-train journey to Paris from Brussels from October 30, 2011. The train journey from Brussels to Paris will take less than 2 hours. The airline is offering introductory airfares of about US$627.81, which is lower than what is currently being offered by Air France and Air India.

Jet Airways is providing the new train connection because of its codeshare partnership with Brussels Airlines as well as the Thalys train company.
