JetBlue Airways adding Elite tier to its frequent-flier program
JetBlue Airways recently announced it will be adding Elite tier to its frequent-flier program in an attempt to attract more travelers and take business class flights.
The airline in a statement said that by adding Elite tier to its frequent-flier program the business travelers will find it more appealing. Under this program the airline will be rewarding its repeat customers with pre-boarding, shorter airport security lines, better seats and even a free trip into space.
The Elite tier is also being added to its frequent-flier program by Virgin America. Both the carriers – JetBlue Airways and Virgin America – made the announcement at the recently-concluded Global Business Travel Association annual convention in Boston.
The Elite tier is being created by both the carriers to provide their respective customers more incentive to stay loyal with them and also to achieve better status.
JetBlue Airways disclosed that it has decided to launch a “Mosaic” tier this fall, which will be available to the travelers for accumulating at least 12,000 points in a calendar year. This will allow passengers with priority security lines, early boarding, free second checked bag and the advantage of using points to upgrade to seats with extra legroom.
