Kenya Airways named fourth Best Airline in Africa in 2012
The flights services by Kenya Airways have been adjudged as among the best in Africa. At the recently-concluded World Airline Awards 2012, Kenya Airways bagged fourth ‘Best Airline in Africa’ award.
The award was presented by Skytrax, a global independent company that ranks airlines according to their performance in various categories.
Among other African carriers that emerged at the top three positions in ‘Best Airline in Africa’ include South African Airways, Kulula airline and Air Mauritius. The rankings are based on voting by millions of passengers from 160 nationalities.
In the global ranking of top 100 airlines, Kenya Airways, however, slipped from the 70th position last year to 78th this year.
Kenya Airways was also ranked third in ‘Best Staff Service in Africa’ category. South African Airways emerged at the top, while another South African low-cost carrier Kulula came second in this category.
Skytrax’s World Airline Awards 2012 were presented at a ceremony held during the Farnborough International Airshow at UK this year.
