Travelers booking business class flights on Lufthansa between India and Germany can now look forward to avail w-fi broadband service onboard their flights.
Lufthansa recently announced it has started offering wi-fi broadband as a paid in-flight service to customers booking business class tickets, as well as to those traveling in first class and economy class. By doing so, Lufthansa has become one of the first airlines to provide such kind of a service on Indian routes.
The service is being offered on select routes, including Delhi-Munich, Chennai-Frankfurt, Mumbai-Munich and Mumbai-Frankfurt. According to the airline, this paid service being offered will be at $14.13 (740 INR) for one hour, or $25.74 (1,350 INR) for 24 hours. The customers are allowed to extend this service to Lufthansa long-haul flights and Lufthansa lounges.
The service will allow customers traveling in business class cabins, and in other classes as well, to browse the Internet on their tablets and laptops. The airline is also planning to extend this service to mobile phones by the end of this year to enable the customers to text messages and data transfer.
