Malaysia Airlines install widest first class seats on new Airbus A380s

Malaysia Airlines is now way ahead in providing widest first class seats to its customers than what is being currently being offered by Singapore Airlines.

Malaysian Airline System Bhd recently said in a statement that it has now taken a five-inch lead over Singapore Airlines in offering wide first class seats currently measuring 40 x 87 inches.

According to the airline, passengers booking first class tickets will be able to enjoy their newly-designed seats in the first class when the new Airbus SAS 380 takes to the skies in July this year.

The airline said that the passengers will enjoy more space than what is usually offered on a single-bed mattress, with seats measuring 40 inches by 87 inches.

The passengers are being offered round-trip first class flights starting at about $9,000 to London.
 
The airline said that it will be able to attract corporate and long-haul travelers with its new offerings.

The airline had to suffer great losses amounting to $1 billion due to higher fuel prices and stiff completion from budget carrier AirAsia Bhd last year.
