The New York International Fringe Festival or FringeNYC 2011 will be held from August 12-28, 2011, at 20 different venues spread across Lower Manhattan. The 16-day festival is the 5th largest cultural event in the New York City. The other four events held on a wider scale in the city include New York International Auto Show, Tribeca Film Festival, New York City Marathon and New York Comic Con. This year the FringNYC will be celebrating its 15th anniversary. So far, over 2,400 performing groups have presented their shows in its 14-year-old history.
