Singapore Airlines to begin A380 service to Shanghai from Oct 27
Get ready to buy plane tickets and travel on A380 superjumbo to Shanghai starting this October. Singapore Airlines recently announced that it is deploying an Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft on selected flights to/from Shanghai from October 27, 2013.
Singapore Airlines is among the most comfortable airlines in the world. The airline is presently making use of a Boeing 777 aircraft top operate 35 weekly flights to Shanghai Pudong International Airport during the northern summer operating season. The airline is also using the same aircraft to operate 28 weekly flights during the northern winter operating season as well.
The airline said that it will deploy A380 superjumbo aircraft to operate five flights every week during the northern winter season schedule. With the deploying of the superjumbo, the airline will be able to increase the overall seat capacity by 12 percent.
The airline is presently operating flights with the help of Airbus A380 aircraft to some of the popular destinations such as Zurich, Tokyo Narita, Sydney, Paris, New York, Melbourne, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong and Frankfurt.
