Feb 21, 2012
TAM Airlines recently won the award for Best Red Wine served in First Class. The leading Brazilian carrier was bestowed with two of the top categories “Cellars in the Sky” awards presented by the prestigious UK-based Business Traveller magazine.
The passengers taking TAM Airlines’ first class flights were served with Clos Canon 2008 wine, an elite Bordeaux produced in Saint-Emilion, which helped the airline to win the award in the best red wine category.
The award-winning wine offers the first class passengers an intense and alluring display of aromas of ripe dark fruit, mixed with coffee, chocolate and delicate floral touches.
Besides, TAM Airlines also got the award for the most improved First Class wine cellar.
Earlier, TAM Airlines had also won major international awards, including Global Traveler’s “Wines on the Wing” awards in 2010 and 2011, and in “Cellars in the Sky” in 2009, when the airline was selected for this award for serving the best white wine in First Class.
