TAM to increase its flight frequency from Rio de Janeiro

TAM Airlines, the Brazilian flagship carrier after receiving the delivery of two of its new Airbus A330 aircrafts, announced the increase in flight frequency from Rio de Janeiro to London, Frankfurt and New York in the coming months.

The airline will provide a daily flight service from 2nd May 2011 on Frankfurt-Rio de Janeiro route. It will also add two new flights on New York-Rio de Janeiro route. With this New York will be operated by total six flights in a week. The new fifth weekly flight to New York will start its operations from next month and the sixth flight will be launched by 1st August 2011.

According to TAM, there has been a considerable increase in the business and leisure traffic in the past few years and the two major forthcoming events – World Cup in 2014 and the 2016 Olympics will add more revenue to the airline.
