Thai Airways showcases its Royal First Class on its first Airbus A380-800 aircraft

Kingdom of Thailand’s national flag carrier Thai Airways International, popularly known as THAI, recently received its first Airbus A380-800 aircraft and showcased its new products and services during a pre-launch reception held at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The airline in a statement said that six Airbus A380 aircrafts are scheduled to join the airline’s fleet between 2012 and 2013. All the six Airbus A380 aircrafts of THAI have been configured, each with a capacity of a total of 507 seats, in three classes – 12 seats in Royal First Class, 60 seats in Royal Silk Class and 435 seats in Economy Class.

The airline’s first Airbus A380-800 aircraft is scheduled to be delivered on September 27, 2012. The airline will also be inducting three additional Airbus A380-800 aircrafts in its fleet after their delivery during the 2012 Winter schedule. The remaining two Airbus A380-800 aircrafts are to be delivered to THAI in 2013.

THAI showcased its Royal First Class during the recently-held pre-launch reception at Bangkok. The Royal first Class cabins have been fitted with 12 seats. Providing the details, the airline stated that first class seats have been exquisitely designed. The seats recline 180 degrees, with semi-privacy conventional configuration. Apart from several other facilities, the airline’s first class also features a Royal First Class Bar, Royal First Lounge onboard and spacious lavatory/dressing room.
