Virgin Atlantic Airways likely to bring flights to Moscow from London
Virgin Atlantic Airways recently announced it is planning to launch flights services to Moscow next year. The airline said it will be using the operating slots at London Heathrow to conduct the flights.
The operating slots at London Heathrow were recently relinquished by IAG, British Airways parent company.
Virgin Atlantic Airways is awaiting the approval of European Commission regulators who have asked British Airways to surrender its operating slots after its takeover of Deutsche Lufthansa’s BMI unit.
After its proposal is approved, the airline has indicated its plans to offer air tickets for its daily flights to be operated between London Heathrow and Moscow. The airline will be deploying Airbus SAS A330 wide-body aircrafts to operate the flights after it secures takeoff and landing slots at London Heathrow.
Virgin Atlantic Airways has disclosed that it will be applying for all the slots at London Heathrow which is to be given up by British Airways, its biggest rival.
