WestJet Airlines adds premium economy seats on its flights
WestJet Airlines recently announced it has added premium economy seats on its flights. The airline stated that effective from August 1, 2012 it has added premium economy seating with extra legroom and other convenient features across its entire fleet.
The airline in a statement said that the premium economy seating will include a new configuration with four rows of extra legroom. The passengers booking premium economy tickets on WestJet Airlines would be offered various complimentary onboard amenities, including priority boarding.
The airline stated that the ticket prices for premium economy flights will be costly in comparison to the standard Economy Class. However, the Canadian low-cost carrier doesn’t offer a first class cabin to its customers.
According to the airline, the premium economy seats are being made available on some flights and the installation would be completed by the end of December this year. The airline currently operates its flights services to 80 destinations in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
