WestJet Airlines into partnership with Emirates to expand global network

WestJet Airlines recently announced that it is entering into a new partnership with the leading Middle East carrier Emirates. The airline said that the partnership will enable Emirates to expand its global network across Canada.

The agreement will also allow Emirates to transfer its passengers onto WestJet Airlines flights on a single reservation.

Don McWilliam, Emirates Manager for Canada, expressed happiness and sounded optimistic saying that the partnership with WestJet Airlines will enable travelers to explore the diverse and vast network of important destinations with seamless connections and remarkable ease.

Besides Emirates partnership, WestJet Airlines recently signed a new interline agreement with Israel’s El Al airline seeking to expand its international network further. Currently, WestJet Airlines is into codeshare agreement with several airlines across the world, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM, Cathay Pacific, and others.

Emirates will operate flights to Toronto thrice weekly under the new agreement with WestJet Airlines. Emirates has also revealed its intention to expand its flight services to Toronto and operate a daily service in future, opening up routes to Vancouver and Calgary from Dubai.
