WestJet Airlines passengers benefitting from new Plus fare plan

WestJet Airlines has said that its customers are benefiting immensely from the newly-launched Plus fare plan. The airline had launched the Plus plan in August this year. The airline’s Plus plan is an important part of its fare bundle roll-out, offering additional convenience, comfort and flexibility to its customers looking out for more options.

According to WestJet Airlines, the Plus plan includes complimentary flight change and cancel options; extra baggage allowance (two free checked bags); extra legroom (36-inch seat pitch); a complimentary food item and alcoholic beverages from in-flight menu; advance boarding and overhead bin space; and priority security screening at available airports. 

WesJet Airlines said that Plus, in fact, completes the fare bundle launch that started earlier this year. The airline reconfigured all of its 103 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircrafts creating additional legroom in the first three rows of seating, to be offered under the Plus plan.

Bob Cummings, WestJet Airline’s Executive Vice-President, Sales, Marketing and Guest Experience, said that Plus has been launched to address the growing market of travelers asking for more choice and flexibility at lower fares than in existence presently. He said that the launch of Plus plan allows the airline to offer the customers the same experience they have always enjoyed while providing additional features to meet their needs. He said that with Plus plan the airline is offering all those to its customers at a much lower price than what is being made available to date by the airline’s competitors.
