Airberlin, Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways planning codeshare agreement from October 28

Germany’s leading carrier Airberlin recently announced it is planning to enter into codeshare agreement with Franco-Dutch airline Air France-KLM and UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways at the end of October this year.

The airline in a statement said that the codeshare agreement will enable customers booking Airberlin flights to access services on the network of all the participating carriers. The codeshare agreement is likely to be effective from October 28, 2012.

A spokesperson of Air France-KLM said that the codeshare agreement between Airberlin and Air France will provide opportunity to customers of both the carriers to book tickets on all the routes between Germany and France being operated by the two carriers.

The codeshare pact between the two carriers will prove beneficial to the customers. The customers booking Airberlin flights will be able to connect to select destinations via Paris, and those traveling by Air France will be able to connect to certain destinations via Dusseldorf or Berlin.
