Air Canada resumes seasonal St John’s-London Heathrow flights

Air Canada recently announced it has resumed its seasonal flights services between London Heathrow and St John’s, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador on Canada’s Atlantic coast.

The airline in a statement said that Air Canada flights between St John’s and London Heathrow will be operated nonstop daily until September 30, 2012.

According to the airline, the route is the only direct daily connection between the London Heathrow airport and Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada's easternmost province.

Marcel Forget, Air Canada's Vice President of Network Planning, said that the airline is starting the service almost two weeks earlier this year in comparison to last year because of strong performance and support from the St John’s community.

He said that the St John’s-London Heathrow route will provide travelers coming from Canada an opportunity to access onward flights to Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Vienna and other European capitals.

Air Canada's operations in St John’s will enable convenient connections to locations across Canada, such as Toronto, Halifax and Deer Lake.
