Air China Shanghai - Paris flights relaunched

Air China recently announced the relaunch of its flights between Shanghai Pudong and Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport.

Air China flights to the French capital Paris made a comeback more than four years after it was first dropped in January 2008.

Paris is Air China’s third European destination being served out of Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The two other European destinations being served out of Shanghai include Frankfurt and Milan Malpensa.

Air China in a statement said that it has deployed its 255-seat Airbus A340-300 aircraft, configured with three classes, on Shanghai Pudong-Paris CDG route.

The airline will operate five flights every week between these two destinations.

Currently, Air France operates 12 flights every week to Shanghai Pudong. China Eastern Airlines also conducts 7 flights per week to Shanghai.

Air China is likely to face stiff competition from both Air France and China Eastern Airlines on Shanghai route.

After Beijing, the second Chinese market is Shanghai where Air China offers nonstop flights to France.
