Air China, the flagship carrier of China is all set to debut its flights to Washington. As per the reports, the airline will commence service between Beijing and Washington beginning June 10, 2014. Post the launch, the capital city of the United States will feature at number 7 on its list of destinations served in the entire North American region.
At present, it connects the cities of Vancouver, Hawaii, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York in Canada and the U.S. By starting its Washington service, it will bolster its presence in the region and offer seamless connections between the Asian city and the political hub of the U.S. The service between two capital cities is highly awaited. Airport authorities at both these cities are eager to welcome the new flight service.
As per the Air China airline schedule, this service will be available four times per week every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It will use the services of Boeing B777-300ERs on this route. The flights will depart Beijing at 1:00 pm on the given days, and arrive in the U.S. capital at 2:35 pm, local time. The return flights will depart Washington at 4:35 pm, local time and arrive in the Chinese capital at 6:15 pm, the next day.
Washington, besides being a political hotbed is a famous tourist destination as well. The city is home to several natural and man-made attractions like The United States Capitol, White House, The National Air and Space Museum, and U.S. National World War II Memorial. On the other hand, the Chinese capital too is a popular gateway into the country and an equally popular travel destination. Besides the Great Wall of Chine, it houses Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, The National Museum of China, and Fragrant Hills Park.
