ANA announces flights to Houston, its 10th U.S. destination

All Nippon Airways also known as ANA becomes the most recent international airline to offer flights to Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport. This Japanese airline will start flying to Houston from June 12, 2015.

ANA will offer a round trip flight from Tokyo Narita Airport, its hub to Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport using the service of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and will offer a total of 250 seats under three seat classifications. Passengers will be offered eight first-class seats, 52 business class seats and 190 coach class seats.

While announcing its plans to launch this Houston service the airline said, demand for flights to Asia has significantly increased over the past few years. Houstonians will not only be able to connect to Tokyo but beyond, to other Asian cities using the airlines network. The airline mentioned its ability to fly Asian passengers to various U.S. destinations and other countries like Brazil and Mexico, where demand for business is growing.

All Nippon’s joint venture partner United Airlines also serves a direct nonstop flight between Tokyo Narita and IAH. Hence ANA has timed its service to complement United's present schedule, offering both a morning and afternoon service in both the directions for Star Alliance partners.

Osamu Shinobe, CEO ANA said we are extremely happy to make Houston our 10th destination in the USA. Our international flight from Tokyo to Houston will offer a fantastic gateway from Japan and many other Asian countries to South and Central America. We along with our partner United are positive to meet the surging passenger demand and to offer greater choices in terms of our network.

As far as Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport goes, introduction for one more international route is another feather in the IAH’s cap. In the year 2014 alone several carriers including SAS and Korean Air have added new routes and carriers like Emirates and Air China have increased their capacity on existing routes from IAH.
