BA in the process to refurbish its Boeing 777-200 planes

British Airways is serious about offering its customers the best of service. In a bid to enhance customer experience on its flights, the airline is revamping its fleet of Boeing 777-200 planes. The airline is done with refurbishing the interiors of about 40 percent of these planes so far.

Passengers traveling on British Airlines tickets from the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman will soon be able to travel on the airline’s modern seats and cabins. The premier carrier of Europe has fitted 18 out of the total 46 B777s with contemporary First Class, World Traveller, and World Traveller Plus cabins. It has also installed these seats with the newest Thales entertainment system. It has invested huge money for these renovations.

The airline believes that this renovation is a part of its commitment to improve the in-flight passenger experience. The billion-dollar project will allow customers on Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Manama and Doha routes to feel its elegant cabins and novel technologies.

The airline disclosed that the revamping approximately consumes 5,700 man-hours for the personnel to detach old seats and interiors and fit its latest offerings. The airline has installed new widescreens in the Club World section. The new seats and cabins in the World Traveller Plus and World Traveller comprise of the fashionable cushioning technology and in-seat plug points.

The onboard entertainment system is set to provide over 700 hours of unlimited entertainment to the passengers in the form of 230 TV programs, 70 movies, and 400 CDs.
