British Airways announces new semi-flex fare trial

The trial of a new semi-flex fare has been recently announced by British Airways. This newly-introduced fare system would be available for booking for travel between London and eight short-haul destinations.

According to British Airways, through this new fare the passengers would be offered a middle ground between booking a standard ticket and a fully-flex one. The passengers would be able to take advantage of this fare to travel on flights from London to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm and Amsterdam.

The passengers would be offered benefits of a standard fare when booking semi-flex fare. These benefits include the same baggage allowance and food and drinks onboard the flight as offered on a standard ticket.

Other benefits include free booking changes on departure day from the same airport to the same destination. The passenger would be required to pay only fare differences when required to make a change to the booking the day before travel. A change fee in this case will not be incurred. The passengers would be allowed to select a seat for free two days prior to travel, instead of 24 hours as required on a standard fare.
