British Airways buying low-density Airbus SAS A380 aircrafts

British Airways recently announced it will be purchasing 12 Airbus SAS A380 aircrafts and including in its fleet next year.

The airline in a statement said that it is planning to operate British Airways flights on low-density Airbus SAS A380 aircrafts aimed at maximizing lucrative premium bookings. The aircrafts are scheduled to be delivered starting in July 2013.

According to British Airways, the Airbus SAS A380 aircraft will be configured in a four-class layout having a total of 489 seats.
 
Currently, British Airways main rivals like Lufthansa and Air France are offering flights services on superjumbos. Lufthansa is operating flights services on its Airbus A380 aircrafts having a capacity of 526 seats. Another competitor Air France is operating aircrafts that can accommodate 516 passengers.

British Airways said that it would offer stiff competition to its rival by operating more flights with the help of smaller Airbus SAS A380 aircrafts. The airline wants to operate additional flights and maximize its revenue earnings.
