British Airways Sydney flights to depart from Terminal 5

British Airways recently announced a slight change in its Sydney service. The airline in a statement said that British Airways flights services from London Heathrow to Sydney will now depart from Terminal 5 starting March 31, 2013.

The airline disclosed that change in terminal is aimed at making the internal transfer easier and quicker for passengers at London Heathrow Airport. The airline also said that it will be upgrading its service to Sydney, and will deploy a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate flights on London Heathrow-Sydney route.

According to British Airways, the customers booking British Airways flights tickets to Sydney are currently required to change terminals for catching connecting domestic or short-haul flights.

The airline stated that the Terminal 5 now houses British Airways’ flagship lounge in the new premises. The lounge is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, restaurants, bars and shops.
