British Airways to roll out new business class seats on mid-haul routes

The customers booking British Airways flights in business class on mid-haul routes will now be able to enjoy their travel on new fully-flat business class seats.

The airline recently announced it has started the refitting process of new fully-flat business class seats on ex-Bmi aircrafts to be rolled out on mid-haul routes. British Airways has taken over the operations of Bmi after fully acquiring it.

British Airways in a statement said that it is refitting a total of seven former Bmi A321aircrafts. The airline stated that the aircrafts are being equipped with 23 Thompson Aero Seating business class seats.

According to the airline, the new seats in business class cabins will be featuring a 78-inch fully-flat bed. The business class seats will have 45-inch seat pitch. The airline will also refit the aircrafts with 131 seats in economy class with a 31-inch pitch.

The airline also stated that the aircrafts will be equipped with the Thales i5000 AVOD in-flight entertainment system.
