Cape Air adds Culebra and Virgin Gorda to its itinerary

Cape Air seems to expand its footprints and its wings across the Americas. The Barnstable, Massachusetts based airline recently commenced operations to two new destinations from San Juan in Puerto Rico. It launched flight service from the Puerto Rican capital to Culebra and Virgin Gorda. The city of Culebra is in Puerto Rico while Virgin Gorda is a city in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean region.

The airline, which commenced operations in the year 1999, will operate four times a day service between San Juan (SJU) and Culebra (CPX). On the other hand, it will offer thrice-daily flights between San Juan (SJU) and Virgin Gorda (VIJ). The airline will use the services of its newly obtained Britten-Norman Islanders to fly on these routes.

Linda Markham, President of Cape Air expressed happiness over these new services. She added further that the organization is excited to offer scheduled services to these destinations. She also said that the airline is pleased to fly to the Caribbean, which is a popular tourism gateway for travelers across the world. With these services, the airline operates nine flights out of San Juan. The capital city now provides more than 300 departures on a weekly basis to various cities within and outside the country.

The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport serves the city of San Juan while Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport caters to the flights departing and arriving in the city of Culebra. On the other hand, Virgin Gorda Airport serves this beautiful city in the Caribbean. The airline currently flies to 36 destinations some of which comprise Boston, New Bedford, Augusta, White Plains, St. Louis, St. Thomas, and Guam.
