Now, Premium Economy in China Airlines Boeing 777-300ER

China Airlines recently announced it will be launching its new Premium Economy class in its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The airline said that the aircraft will be delivered in September 2015.

Providing details about its Premium Economy class cabin, China Airlines said that the new cabin will have the capacity to seat 62 passengers. The new aircraft will be featuring a fixed backshell design seats with a seat pitch of 39 inch offering more legroom to the passengers.
 
The seats will have a front-sliding design. The new design will enable passengers recline their seats, greater comfort and ease without disturbing their fellow passengers seated behind. The seats will also have adjustable legrests for providing comfort and greater support to the passengers.

China Airlines in a statement said that the 12-inch touchscreen offered to the passengers will be the world’s largest when compared to similar cabin classes in other airlines. The passengers will be able to play games, listen to music and watch movies by simply pressing the touchscreen control or swiping the state-of-the-art touchscreen.

The Premium Class cabin has been affordably priced. China Airlines said that the passengers traveling on U.S. routes will be able to travel at cheap airfares, paying only 30 percent more than Economy Class.
Meanwhile, China Airlines has indicated it will increase its flights on Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland route during the peak summer travel period in Australia. Taiwan’s national carrier China Airlines said that the increased service will be conducted on both Brisbane-Taipei and Brisbane-Auckland routes starting from December 5, 2014 and will continue until February 28, 2015.

The airline will operate an additional service on Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland route on Saturdays every week. China Airlines is presently serving the route thrice weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. With the launch of new service, the airline will be operating four flights every week.

According to China Airlines, it will be offering an additional flight from Taipei as well. The additional flight will now be operated on Fridays every week. The Friday service will be in addition to the existing services being currently operated on the route on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays every week.

The additional flight will depart from Brisbane at 12.25 pm and arrive at Auckland at 6.40 pm. The return flight will depart from Auckland at 8.45 pm and arrive in Brisbane at 9.25 pm. The flight from Brisbane will depart at 11.15 pm and reach Taipei at 6 am next day. The return flight will depart from Taipei at 11.50 pm and reach Brisbane at 10.40 am next day.

China Airlines further indicated that it will also be upgrading the service on Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland route replacing the existing Airbus A330-300 aircraft with the wide-body Boeing 747-400 aircraft. The upgrade will take place during the same period.

The customers traveling from Taipei will now be able to take connecting flights to destinations across Europe and Asia, including Tokyo, Rome, Jakarta, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

The route upgrade has come at a time when Auckland Airport is planning for its future growth. The airport will go in for infrastructure upgrade with the construction of a new joint international and domestic terminal.
