Croatia Airlines flights to Osijek unlikely

Croatia Airlines flights to Osijek are unlikely in the near future. Croatia’s national flag carrier recently confirmed that it is highly unlikely it will continue with its proposed flights to Osijek from Zagreb.
The airline in a statement said it currently isn’t planning to operate flights to Osijek and is still to arrive at a final decision.

The airline has made known its intention despite the head of Osijek Airport recently saying that Croatia Airlines will be leasing an Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia turboprop for operating daily flights between Zagreb and Osijek, in addition to a twice weekly flights service from Split during this winter season. Croatia Airlines flights tickets were to go on sale on October 1, 2012 for flights from Zagreb to Osijek.

If Croatia Airlines finally decides against operating flights to Osijek, then this will be considered a great setback for the airport as it won’t have any commercial services during the winter.
