EVA Air launches direct flights between Taipei and Yangon

Taiwan’s second largest carrier EVA Air recently announced the launch of direct flights services between Taiwanese capital Taipei and Yangon in Myanmar.

EVA Air flights between Taipei and Yangon were launched on October 9, 2012. The airline in a statement said that the customers can now look forward to buy EVA Air flights tickets at great rates for flights to be operated thrice weekly between the two destinations.

The airline said that it has launched flights to Yangon in the hope to benefit from the growing potential for both business and leisure travel to the Southeast Asian country Myanmar.

EVA Air stated that Myanmar had since last year undertaken a series of political reforms. The airline said that with the country gaining stability in its economy and social life, there are great hopes of increased demand in flight services between Myanmar and Taiwan.

The airline will be operating thrice weekly flights between Yangon and Taipei on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
