Finnair announces revamp of fare structure, loyalty scheme

Finland’s national flag carrier Finnair recently announced the revamp of its fare structure as well as loyalty scheme. The airline in a statement said that customers booking Finnair flights in economy class and business class would witness the new pricing change soon.

According to the airline, Finnair flights tickets would now be of five different types across its economy class and business class products. The new fares would be implemented from November 28, 2012.

The airline indicated that it has undertaken the restructuring exercise in an attempt to improve and bring clarity in ticket pricing and offer fares to its customers across all its segments.

The five new ticket types introduced by the airline includes Basic, Value, Pro, Business Saver and Business.

Apart from the new fare types, the airline has also made significant changes to its Finnair Plus frequent flyer scheme.
