Visiting Bangkok during the rainy months of July-August

When it comes to visiting the Thai capital Bangkok during the months of July and August, there are many tourists who avoid visiting the city. However, there are some tourists who love booking cheap flights to Bangkok and thoroughly enjoy their stay in the city.

The rainy season of July through October has its own joys of visiting Bangkok. Most tourists don’t prefer visiting Bangkok during the rainy season, but for some these months are the perfect time to visit the city. There is a general perception among visitors that July and August should be particularly avoided as the streets of the city are flooded and exploration becomes nearly impossible. However, on the contrary, July and August are not as much rainy when compared to the months of September and October, which are far more rainier than these months. So, visiting Bangkok during July-August is recommended as the weather is good. The only precaution, however, one should take is while visiting the up country is for riding elephants, watching waterfalls etc. The weather otherwise might prove to be a hindrance because you never know when it will rain and the adventure becomes hazardous.

Traveling during this period provides you opportunity to witness some important events like Hua Hin Regatta, and Mother’s Day and the Queen’s Birthday. The Hua Hin Regatta is a sailing event held annually in Hua Hin, a beach resort town nearby Bangkok. The colorful yachting regatta is held to commemorate the sailing sportsmanship of Thailand’s King Bhumiphol Adulyadej.  This event has become a prime attraction and draws thousands of tourists from worldwide every year.
