The Honolulu Academy of Arts in Makiki is the biggest art museum with an enormous collection of Asian arts as well as of western artists including the likes of Van Gogh, Gauguin and Picasso.

Visiting the Kapiolani Park in Waikiki, you can immerse yourself into the bold and the beautiful wildlife and the mysterious depths of the aquatic ocean life. Although not particularly big, the Honolulu Zoo contains a variety of animals including lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants and the likes.
The Waikiki aquarium has a superb collection of marine water fish and animals such as sharks, octopus, jelly fish and seals. The Sea Life Park has amusing dolphin, penguin and sea lion shows.
Shop, Eat and Be Merry

The International Market Place located in Waikiki has a large number of shops and stalls. Other Waikiki based shopping centers are the Waikiki Plaza, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the DFS (Duty Free Shops) Galleria. Near Downtown is the Ala Moana Center which is the biggest open-air shopping mall in the world having about 290 shops and 80 eating joints.
Zippy’s and Genki Sushi are two main food-chains operating across the city. The popular dish made of chili spread over the french fries, rice, etc, is favorite among travelers and locals alike.
