Italy’s second largest municipality, Milan is the capital of Lombardy. It’s surrounded by growing satellites and suburbs, which have consistently increased the city’s population, making it the most densely populated region in Europe.
Milan’s traditional festivities ensue at the city churches; the biggest being Duomo. On the other hand, commercial events are organized on the outer parts of the city, in Rho. The number of events bends more towards the cultural side of the country, giving an opening to the richness of Milan. Though a fact to keep in mind is, the city tourist destinations are closed on Monday.
