Frontier Airlines and Icelandair into new interline partnership

Frontier Airlines recently announced its interline partnership with Icelandair. The partnership is aimed at expanding travel options from Denver International Airport.

The announcement comes close on heels after Icelandair made public its plans to introduce new service from Denver effective May 11, 2012. Icelandair revealed that it will begin flights to Iceland four-time per week.

Icelandair connects over 20 destinations in Scandinavia, Continental Europe and United Kingdom. When flying from Denver, Icelandair will provide stopovers in Iceland at no additional cost.

Daniel Shurz, Vice President of Planning and Strategy of Frontier Airlines, said that this partnership will prove to be ideal and will provide Icelandair with convenient connections through Denver International Airport. “Frontier Airlines flights schedules complement Icelandair’s flights to Denver, thus making a harmonious combination throughout the Western United States to Europe,” said Daniel Shurz.

Frontier Airlines currently conduct more than 500 daily flights from its hubs at Denver International Airport, Kansas City International Airport and Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport. The airline provides flight services from more than 80 gateways in the United States, Costa Rica and Mexico.
