Frontier Airlines cancels previously announced Durango-Las Vegas flights

Even before the new service is to debut on Durango-Las Vegas route, Frontier Airlines flights on this route are being cancelled.

The airline is taking the unusual step and recently announced that Frontier Airlines flights tickets would no longer be available for its customers for flights between Durango and Las Vegas as the route is being canceled even before the previously announced new direct service is to begin operations.

Frontier Airlines has announced the introduction of the new route only two months ago. Frontier Airlines flights on the new Durango-Las Vegas route was scheduled to being on October 4, 2012.

However, the airline has gone back on its decision and canceled the previously announced direct route. The airline said that it will start offering refunds to its passengers who have already made Frontier Airlines flight reservations on the new route.

Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President – Commercial of Frontier Airlines, lamented that the passengers have shown little interest in the new service. He said that this goes far less than what the company had earlier anticipated.
