Frontier Airlines resumes flights between Sioux City to Denver

Frontier Airlines resumed its services from Sioux City, Iowa to Denver, Colorado today i.e. June 13, 2014. Service on this route ended in the year 2008.

In the year 2008, Frontier Airlines filed chapter 11 for bankruptcy and ended its operations on this route. After 6 years of hiatus it is back in service and raring to go. Flights to Sioux Gateway Airport which were earlier operational using a small turboprop aircraft will now be operated using a 138-seat Airbus 319.

Apart from Frontier Airlines the City’s Gateway Airport is also served by American Airlines. AA operates daily service between Sioux City to Chicago. Curt Miller, director of Sioux Gateway Airport, said that the passengers need to be prepared for the extra waiting as two flights will depart from the airport during the morning hours, resulting in increase of traffic and eventually time.

Tryi Squyres, Vice President of Marketing Frontier Airlines, said that the airline is happy to resume its services here. The response from passengers is excellent and we are confidant of our success here. He further added that passengers can avail lucrative deals with utmost ease with Frontier; all they need to do is plan their journey a little in advance.

The Sioux-Denver route flight will depart from Sioux at 6:40 a.m and arrive in Denver at 7:08 a.m. The return flight will leave Denver at 7:54 p.m. and arrive in Sioux at 10:13 p.m. Flights on this route will operate three times a week i.e. every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Frontier Airlines is a budget airline and allows passengers to select rates and specific items for their travel. This airline also charges for checked baggage and for baggage placed in overhead bins.
