Frontier Airlines resumes service to Newport News

Frontier Airlines recently resumed its flights to Newport News from Denver. Frontier Airlines flights will currently be operated three days per week.

After expanding its Denver flight schedule, Frontier Airlines tickets will be available for booking year-round as the airline will be converting the existing three days schedule to seven days per week during the busier summer months.

The airline said in a statement that its seven-day schedule will begin from May 22, 2012 and will continue through Labor Day.

However, the seven-day service will again be reverted to a six-days-per-week schedule after the end of summer holidays, as also due to less demand in the off-season.

Frontier Airlines started operating a seasonal schedule last fall, and discontinued flights in September 2011. Later on, the airline again decided to operate flights to/from Newport News-Williamsburg International Airport year-round, and expand to a seven-day per week schedule in summer this year.

In summer 2011, Frontier Airlines had been operating flights out of Newport News only three days per week.
