Gulf Air planning to cover three more Indian cities

Bahrain’s national flag carrier Gulf Air recently announced it is planning to expand its flights services to three more cities in India.

The airline in a statement said that Gulf Air flights are likely to be launched to three more Indian cities – Pune, Amritsar and Ahmedabad. The airline is presently offering services on Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi routes from its hub in Manama.

The airline has also decided to deploy a new Airbus A321 aircraft to operate Gulf Air flights services from Manama to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi.

Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer of Gulf Air, said that the airline would continue to develop the four existing destinations – Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Chennai – by offering new products, such as installing fully-flat bed in the business class cabins of its new Airbus A321 aircrafts.

He said that the new destinations – Pune, Amritsar and Ahmedabad – are yet to be approved by the aviation authorities.
