Gulf Air signs codeshare agreement with Cyprus Airways

Gulf Air recently announced it has expanded its partnership with Cyprus Airways and signed a new codeshare agreement with the national flag carrier of Cyprus.

The airline in a statement said that customers booking Gulf Air flights tickets would be able to easily connect from Manama to Athens and Thessaloniki.

The codeshare agreement would also enable travelers from Thessaloniki and Athens to easily connect via Larnaca to more than 48 destinations.

Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer of Gulf Air, said that the airline’s relationship with Cyprus Airways has been durable and longstanding. Both the carriers entered into codeshare partnership ever since 1994.

Makhlouf said that Larnana would continue to be a strategic route and key market for Gulf Air to connect Cyprus with Bahrain, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The renewed codeshare agreement between the two carriers has also been welcomed by Christos Agapiou, Cyprus Airways’ Commercial Manager.

Currently, Gulf Air operates flights between Manama and Larnanca six times every week. The airline operates direct flights to 48 cities in 30 countries.
