Hawaiian Airlines announces change fees waiving for passengers affected by Hurricane Sandy

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced it will be compensating its customers affected because of Hurricane Sandy.

The airline in a statement said that customers who booked Hawaiian Airlines flights but were unable to travel to their destinations because of the cancellation of flights will be waived reservation change fees and differences in fares.

The airline said that this offer is applicable for those customers who require changing their travel itineraries because of the devastating Hurricane Sandy.

According to the airline, passengers who have already booked Hawaiian Airlines flights tickets through October 31 for travel between Hawaii Islands and U.S. East Coast are allowed with immediate effect to change their reservations to flights through November 4, on the condition that the changes to travel plans are made no later than November 1.

The airline stated that applicable difference in fares and all change fees would be waived only when the changes are made in the same class of service, based on seat availability.
