Hawaiian Airlines tops in on-time arrivals ranking in August

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT) recently released its report indicating that Hawaiian Airlines flights have performed well in terms of on-time arrivals and fewest flight cancellations in August 2012.

The DoT’s Air Travel Consumer Report outlined that Hawaiian Airlines has ranked first in both on-time arrivals and fewest flight cancellations and proved to the most reliable carrier in the United States. The report said that the airline has kept its customers happy by keeping them on schedule during the peak travel month of August.

According to the report, Hawaiian Airlines flights reported arrivals at their scheduled time at a rate of 92.8 percent. The airline’s on-time percentage was 13.7 percentage points, which was significantly better than the industry average.

Hawaiian Airlines also earned the airline industry’s best score for the fewest cancellation of its flights in August this year. The report said that out of a total of 6,628 flights only two flights were cancelled by the airline.

The report stated that Hawaiian Airlines ranked #1 among the 15 largest carriers in the United States.

Currently, Hawaiian Airlines operates nonstop flights services to Hawai‘i Islands from more U.S. gateway cities, along with the Philippines, Japan, Tahiti, South Korea, American Samoa and Australia.
