Icelandair fleet to be equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi connection

Passengers booking Icelandair flights tickets will now be enjoy more facilities onboard their flights. The airline recently announced that it has signed an agreement with a company to equip its fleet with high-speed Wi-Fi connection for the benefit of its customers.

The airline in a statement said that by equipping its fleet with high-speed Wi-Fi, Icelandair’s customers will be able to use their own Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to the internet.

The airline disclosed that the Wi-Fi installation on its entire fleet is likely to start in the fourth quarter of 2012 and will be completed in autumn 2013.
 
Björgólfur Jóhannsson, President and CEO of Icelandair Group, said that Icelandair has always been focusing on providing exceptional service to its customers, and has a complete entertainment system in place in its fleet.

He said that the recent agreement with the U.S. based company installing high-speed Wi-Fi connection will further help the airline to enhance the passenger experience inside the cabin.
