Icelandair launches nonstop flights to Iceland from Denver

Icelandair flights have now started operations from Denver International Airport. The airline recently announced the launch of its nonstop flights from its newest North American gateway Denver to Iceland. The airline will operate four flights every week from the Mile High City.

Icelandair has become the first international carrier to begin flight services from Denver International Airport in nearly 10 years. The airline is likely to generate more than $28 million in annual economic impact to the state of Colorado.

The airline in a statement said that it is celebrating 75 years of aviation with the largest network in its history this year.

The airline recently launched additional flights to London Gatwick. It is also operating a daily service to London Heathrow from Iceland.

Currently, the airline offers service to Iceland from Boston, New York-JFK, Seattle, and Denver with seasonal service from Washington, D.C., Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto. It also offers services from its hub at Keflavik International Airport to over 20 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe.
